Starting with hand selected, 100% top-grade Moso bamboo, CaliBamboo Organic Flooring adds a distinctive elegance to any decor. All CaliBamboo Organic floors undergoe state-of-the-art compression and gluing processes featuring 10 UV-cured, scratch-resistant coatings and tests well below E1 environmental emission standards.
Processing begins from strips of 5-7 year old bamboo canes which are boiled to remove all sugars and preserve the wood. Only the densest most uniform strips are selected for our manufacturing while lower quality strips are sold to discount flooring companies. After 15 days of treatment and drying, a final moisture content of 6% is achieved to ensure optimum stability.
