CaliBamboo Studio Flooring is designed to float over any surface including concrete and radiant heat systems. Each plank is 30-60% wider and over 6 feet long, creating a cleaner and more modern look than traditional size bamboo flooring. Fewer planks mean less work: since CaliBamboo Studio Floors require less boards and are installed with the floating method, they take 1/3 the time to install.
Processing begins from strips of 5-7 year old bamboo canes which are boiled to remove all sugars and preserve the wood. Only the densest most uniform strips are selected for our manufacturing while lower quality strips are sold to discount flooring companies. After 15 days of treatment and drying, a final moisture content of 6% is achieved to ensure optimum stability. CaliBamboo Studio Flooring then undergoes state-of-the-art compression and gluing processes featuring 10 UV-cured, scratch-resistant coatings. CaliBamboo never adds urea formaldehyde to its glues and tests well below E1 environmental emission standards.
