Rectangular strips are cut from the bamboo and then boiled to remove sugars. Only the highest quality strips are selected for manufacturing, the lower quality strips are sold to discount flooring companies. After 15 days of treatments and drying, a final moisture content of 6% is achieved to ensure optimum stability. All three series undergo state of the art compression and gluing processes capped off with 8 coatings of UV cured scratch resistant environmental E1- level sealant. Starting from hand selected top grade moso bamboo, add in state of the art processing and finishing techniques, and Cali Bamboo Organic Series adds distinctive elegance to any decor.
Organic Series Flooring is constructed of 100% bamboo and is available in four options: Natural Horizontal, Natural Vertical, Mocha Horizontal, and Mocha Vertical. All accessories options are also available in matching grains and colors. Organic Series Flooring is finished with 8 coats of UV cured urethane including aluminum oxide and a Janka hardness test result of 1350 lbs/sq. in
This unique series employs the properties of several woods in addition to bamboo. The first layer consisting of 1/8in bamboo, second Douglas Fir, and a back layer of Poplar. The bamboo top layer is bonded to the other two cross laminated layers maximizing the mechanical properties of each wood. This creates an extraordinarily stable floor designed to float over concrete subfloors as well as tolerate sudden large changes in temperature and humidity.
Construction consists of a bamboo top layer bonded to a fir core, and poplar back. Finished with 8 coats UV cured urethane aluminum oxide. Matte prefinish. Janka Hardness Test results avg. 1,350-1600 lbs/sq in.
Twice the density and strength of almost any other flooring in the world, this remarkable achievement in both engineering design and aesthetic beauty stands alone in the world of flooring. Forged from an incredibly unique process that entails compressing and intertwining the fibers, a dense bamboo "fossilized" block is formed. This fossilized block of bamboo is then milled using precision laser guided machines before the final scratch resistant curing phase. This flooring can be used in radiant heat systems, commercial applications, high traffic areas, or anywhere else that a beautiful indestructible floor is required.
